In general, down payments are non-refundable and production costs incurred will be invoiced at the latest upon completion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"u-font-weight-light\">Remaining amounts to the full order total are due upon completion, upon collection, before dispatch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"u-font-weight-light\">Current construction \/ delivery time from binding order (depending on model): <strong>9-12 months<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"u-font-weight-light\">A lot of anticipation, and then a lot of fun and muse with the new guitar &#8220;Made For A Lifetime&#8221;!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>&#8220;Active&#8221; or &#8220;passive&#8221; pickup systems?<\/h4>\n<p class=\"u-font-weight-light\">The general opinion is that active pickup systems simply have more &#8220;power&#8221; &#8211; this is not generally wrong, but the real difference in practice is another &#8230; (apart from some systems, which generally already have a power supply for the sensor -Element need)<\/p>\n<p class=\"u-font-weight-light\">Even if the <strong>Schatten Design<\/strong> pickups sound very natural and have microphonic properties, they are based on a piezo signal. As is usual with piezo elements, this signal is very high-ohmic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"u-font-weight-light\">The actual pickup can be operated <strong>&#8220;passively&#8221; (PLAYER series)<\/strong> via an acoustic amplifier with a piezo or &#8220;high&#8221; input provided for this purpose. This eliminates the need for a battery in the instrument and associated cables other than the thin pickup cable. Another prerequisite for the best sound results with passive pickups is a cable run of less than 6m, as longer cable runs can show losses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"u-font-weight-light\"><strong>&#8220;Active&#8221; pickup systems (&#8220;Active&#8221; or &#8220;Artist&#8221; series)<\/strong> are provided with a small preamplifier at the end socket. This preamplifier amplifies the signal, but primarily it converts the impedance of the piezo signal into a low-ohmic signal.
